Study Areas 

The project team will establish 11 Geographic Focus Area Planning Teams within the Wasatch Front Regional Council area. Each Geographic Focus Area (GFA) will include 6-8 local jurisdictions. GFA Planning Teams will be comprised of engineering, planning, law enforcement, and emergency services representatives of study area counties and local jurisdictions, as well as UDOT, UTA.  Elected officials are also invited to participate.  GFA Planning Teams should include representation from each of the 4-Es of traffic safety: engineering, enforcement, emergency services, and education.  A GFA Planning Team will also be established for agencies/organizations and stakeholders who are regional in nature.

GFA Planning Teams will meet three times during the CSAP development: October 2023, February 2024 and a Regional Safety Workshop in spring 2024.
